3 Ideas for Active Aging Week 2012

Get ready for Active Aging Week --- September 23-29, 2012.  The 2012 theme is "Many journeys, many destinations"

Think of the journeys of your seniors -- every person's life deserves a book.  The stories people have to share are incredible.  Remember the importance of brain fitness and reminiscence as a part of any multi-dimensional wellness program.

1) Kickoff a LifeBio 101 Class -- Bring together a group of 8-10 people and use LifeBio's step by step, easy curriculum to offer a biography class for seniors in your area. If you can lead a discussion, you can do this!

2) Build a Storyboard to celebrate the lives of one or more people -- Create a beautiful display of someone's life story without it costing a fortune or taking a long time. Even host a reception to celebrate their lives.  Active Aging Week is a great time for intergenerational connections with grandchildren or other youth in your area too.
